About Pau-Darco.com

Pau-Darco.com is an independent research resource maintained by the team behind Taheebo Wellness Tea. We're telling you that plainly, up front, rather than presenting ourselves as an unaffiliated third party: we source and sell Pau d'Arco bark, and this site is where we publish the research behind it in more depth than a product page reasonably can.

How We Evaluate Research

Herbal-supplement content online routinely blurs the line between “this compound was studied” and “this treats a disease.” We use a consistent evidence-tier system on every article to keep that distinction visible:

  • Traditional Use — historical/indigenous use, not a controlled study.
  • Lab / In Vitro — cell-culture or test-tube research.
  • Animal Study — results in animal models, not yet tested in humans.
  • Human Trial — studied directly in people, with the trial's phase and size noted.

We link directly to the source paper wherever one is publicly available, rather than just naming a journal. None of this is medical advice, and none of it is a claim that Pau d'Arco tea diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents any disease — see the disclaimer on every research article, and consult a healthcare professional about any specific health condition.

Medical Review

We're in the process of adding a named, credentialed reviewer to sign off on the health content published here. See the Medical Review page for status.

About the Mark

The logo is lapachol — 2-hydroxy-3-prenyl-1,4-naphthoquinone, drawn as its actual ring structure rather than a generic leaf or sunburst. It's the compound most of the cancer-research literature on this site is actually about, so we used the real molecule. The two gold marks sit at its true ketone (C=O) positions, not just wherever looked good.
