The Anatomy of the Tree

The Tabebuia impetiginosa tree has three main layers:

  • Outer bark — the rough, furrowed exterior that protects the tree from the elements.

Harvesting Ethics and Quality

  • Quality: confirm the label specifies Tabebuia impetiginosa or T. avellanedae — other species may not share the same studied compound profile.
  • GI response: very high doses may cause mild nausea; reduce dosage if this happens.
